Character Intros + Serial Story Preview

Hello, everyone! Due to a dentist appointment, trying to finish Camp NaNo, and seeing Endgame on Tuesday, there was no character post.

So I decided to double-post today, until I figured, “Hey, both posts are connected to each other, so why not do 2 in 1?”

Pamela Logan

Pamela Eleanor Johnson-Logan is the protagonist, and it’s through her eyes the story will be told. She was born on July 3, 1926, and is 28 years old.

She has an affinity for journalism, as evidenced by the title. Her journals serve a purpose later for another character, who I will not name…

Howard Logan

Howard Wallace Logan is a secondary character who does not have a POV in the story, meaning he’ll be seen through Pamela’s eyes. He was born on July 15, 1920, and is 34 years old.

He has an affinity for sneakily drawing out important pieces of information that will help them later.

(Character refs are here)

And now, for the teaser:

This is getting ridiculous.

Pamela Logan paused, looking up from the sentence she had written to the bedroom doorway.

Still no Howard.

She sighed, shaking her head as she returned to the journal open on her lap. I’ve known Howard for nine years, and been married to him for four. And yet, I still don’t know everything. I don’t know the reason why he constantly comes home late, other than him saying he was working late. I don’t even know where he works.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a flash of movement in the window. She looked over and saw nothing. Uneasiness settled in her stomach.

Unless it was her tardy husband, why would someone be at their bedroom window?

The Journals of Pamela Logan will be posted on both The Writerly Worm and Wattpad, and the first chapter is due for being posted next Saturday.

    1. Originally, it was Flynn, but after seeing someone else had a character named Howard Flynn (total coincidence, I tell ya!), I decided to change the last name, and I like it a bit better, actually.
