To start with, just this past weekend, I decided to add The Woodsman to my Camp NaNo gig. So now that’s 66k words to write.
I’ll be honest, I don’t see myself finishing my goal by the end of the month, but that’s okay. I’ve got the rest of the year to finish them.
Currently, for Into My Life, I’m at 301 words out of a goal of 40k. This story is moving a lot slower than I expected it to.
For The Woodsman, I’m at 4,033 words out of a goal of 24k. Most of it was actually written before Camp NaNo started, so I’ve only written 649 words more so far.
Excerpts of the week:
From The Woodsman: She put the notebook back and turned off the lamp. As she settled under the covers, wood creaked. Instantly, she was reminded of her great-grandmother’s house, which had been built way back in the 1920s.
From Into My Life: The memories that had kept him up all through the night still marched forefront and center in his mind. They needed to disappear. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to concentrate during work.
There’s my progress. Writers, how are you all doing on your WIPs?
P.S. I made a decision to go on a semi-hiatus for the rest of the month. I might pop in to finish up a few blog posts, but in regards to being posted, they’ll probably be saved for August.
