The Spine of The Story: Part 2

(Part 1)

Time for Part 2 of this little series!

Connor & Kelly’s Relationship (Thoracic)

The thoracic vertebrae support the mid-back. They’re also connected to the rib cage, which protects the heart and lungs.

The heart and soul of the Matthews Family series might just be the relationship between Connor and Kelly.

It can’t be between Connor and his parents, because he barely knows his mother (maybe) and he has never known his father.

It can’t be between Kelly and her siblings because, well, they’re estranged…due to stuff.

The heart and soul of the Matthews Family series is more apt to be between Connor and Kelly because, other than being the protagonists, their relationship is the main relationship of this series.

It’s also more apt to be between them because:

Regardless of whether Connor’s biological family wants anything to do with him or not, Kelly will still be there, first as a friend, and later as his wife.

Regardless of whether Kelly’s siblings are willing to reconcile, Connor will still be there, first as a friend, and later as her husband.

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure how much of this made sense. It could be missing something.

Tell me your thoughts below!
