Yes, folks, you read that right! It has returned! *puts on announcer voice*
WRITER VS. SPELLCHECKERRRRR
In this on-and-off series, we see the battles that happen every now and then between yours truly and that fiend that believes itself to be helpful but it actually isn’t…it needs a dictionary slapped in its face and then some. If you haven’t seen the prior installments, they’re here, here, and here.
Anyway, let’s see what Spellchecker suggested about a month ago…
Me, the writer: *writing* “We’re at Grandpa and Grandma-“
Spellchecker: We’re Grandpa.
Writer. Are you okay?
Spellchecker. Yes, why do you ask?
Writer: Because you made a boo-boo.
Spellchecker: *le gasp* I DID NOT.
Writer: Um, yes you did. This sentence is “We’re at Grandpa and Grandma Matthews’ house. ‘We’re’ as in ‘we are’-“
Spellchecker: AH-HA! NOW YOU WRITE THE PROPER WAY.
Writer: Wha-no, I’m just trying to explain-
Spellchecker: MY PLOT HAS SUCCEEDED! MUAHAHAHAAAA!
Writer: *le sigh*
Writer: *writing*
Spellchecker: Assure.
Writer: No, it’s adjure.
Spellchecker. ASSURE.
Writer: *hits ignore*
Also Writer: *slides proof over*

“We’re Grandpa” lowkey sounds like something Groot would say 😂 Poor spellchecker, it tries a bit too hard sometimes…
