New York, 1779 — Sarah Northam and her father didn’t expect to be held up by British Regulars on their way home from her Aunt Jemima’s party. Neither did Sarah expect to be chased by them after they accuse her father of being a spy for the Continental Army.
And she most certainly did not expect the Headless Horseman, who turns out to not be headless at all, to come to her rescue.
Gratitude soon turns to annoyance when Sarah and the Horseman clash and bicker almost constantly, even as they work together to save her father before he’s hung.
Until they find something in common. Until they fall in love. Until Sarah finds out her father isn’t the only spy she knows who is in danger.
